Dr. Carole Schoffstall Endowed Chair in Nursing & Health Sciences

Endowed Chair Brochure | Make a Contribution Online

Dr. Carole SchoffstallDr. Carole Schoffstall received her Ph.D. in Human Development
from the University of Maryland.  In 1974, she began her tenure at
Beth-El as an Assistant Professor and Associate Dean.  After two leaves of absence (one to pursue her doctoral study at the University of Maryland and another to start a new BSN program at Clayton State College from 1986-1990) she returned to Beth-El in 1990.  Recognizing the need for future stability and continued growth of the College, Dr. Schoffstall was integral in facilitating the merger of Beth-El with the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 1997.  Currently, Dr. Schoffstall serves as Dean of Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

Dean Schoffstall attracts talented, enthusiastic and flexible faculty who are encouraged to expand their ideas and develop new programs that serve the community, state and the nation.  Through her leadership the college has gone from a Diploma program to offering a Doctorate of Nursing Practice as well as developing an international forensic nursing program.  Dean Schoffstall’s creative vision and partnerships with hospitals, municipal agencies, rural authorities, educational facilities and government agencies have provided new care delivery models in an ever changing healthcare environment.

An Endowed Chair

Dr. Schoffstall is synonymous with Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences.  Witnessing this, community leaders, friends of the college, faculty, and alumni have stepped forward to spearhead efforts to recognize Dr. Schoffstall’s contributions to Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences, the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and the state of Colorado by honoring her with an endowed chair.  An endowed chair would not only be an honor for Dean Schoffstall but also to those who would hold the position in the future.  It would allow Beth-El College to attract the most talented and visionary faculty.

Ways to Give

The reasons for giving to support the Dr. Carole Schoffstall Endowed Chair Campaign are as numerous and diverse as the donors themselves.  Whether it’s one inspired moment or many culminating in the desire to support or give back to Dr. Schoffstall or Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Science, one thing is certain:  your generosity is a measure of our success.

Your commitment to the Endowment may be made in a number of ways:

  1. An outright gift of cash and securities allows you to take the maximum income tax deduction and Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences to immediately put your gift to work. 100% of your contribution will go to the development of the Endowed Chair.
  2. A multi-year pledge enables you to maximize your outright gift by spreading it over a period of up to three years.
  3. With a deferred gift, such as a charitable bequest in your will or trust, you retain total control of your assets during your lifetime.  You can make a deferred gift that generates income to you or your loved ones, provides tax benefits, and supports the Dr. Carole Schoffstall Endowed Chair Campaign.

The Time is Now

The time is now for supporting the vision and legacy of Dr. Schoffstall. With your help, Beth-El can build upon and honor the legacy of Dr. Schoffstall by establishing the Dr. Carole Schoffstall Endowed Chair in Nursing & Health Sciences.    Please join us!
