Online Course Access Instructions SUMMER 2008

UCCS Academic Calendar

Please note that the official class start date for all Beth-El College SUMMER 2008 online courses is Monday, June 9, 2008 unless otherwise indicated . Please check the UCCS Schedule of Courses to verify your course start date! You will have access to your online course on the official class start date beginning at 12:01 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time.

1. Access your course from any computer anywhere 24/7 at http://www.uccs.edu/online/login.htm.
2. Your username is your UCCS Student ID number entered with no hyphens and your initial password is UCCS (use all caps for password). If you were enrolled in a previous semester AND you changed your password, use that password.
   

• Your course syllabus will be available when you log into your course on the first day of class.
• You will need to purchase your textbooks and/or reading packets BEFORE your class(es) begins. Course Textbook(s) and Reading Packet Lists can be found at http://www.uccs.edu/bethel/msn_textbooks.htm .
  • Check the UCCS Bookstore web site to determine if your instructor ordered textbooks there. Go to http://www.uccsbookstore.com/home.aspx and then click on the Textbooks link. If you do not see your textbook(s) listed, feel free to use any source of your choice to purchase textbooks.
• Your UCCS E-MAIL ADDRESS is the e-mail that will be used for your online course. Visit http://webmail.uccs.edu to log in and check your UCCS e-mail. Directions on how to access your UCCS e-mail are located on the login page.
• NOW is a good time to update your anti-virus definitions. If you are using Norton Internet Security, you may need to disable the Ad Blocking to view your course. The same holds true for "Black Ice Defender". DO NOT DISABLE YOUR ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE!
• Once you have successfully logged into the course site, all technical support is provided by e-College in Denver: 24/7 Help Desk: 303.873.0005 or e-mail helpdesk@uccsonline.net
  • Note that the help desk can only answer technical questions about the software and connecting to the course(s).
• If this is your FIRST ONLINE COURSE at Beth-El College, we highly recommend that you go through the "SOTStudent Orientation Tutorial" course in the e-College software. This is shown as a link in your class list once you log into the e-College software.
• For answers to questions about your course content, the syllabus, textbooks or reading lists, contact the instructor for your course AFTER the course start date. All instructor contact information is in the course syllabus.
• You have the ability to change your online course password at any time by logging into your course and then clicking on the User Profile tab as soon as you login to the course software.
