The Kathleen Elder Research Center is located in Dwire Hall, Room 387. The Center was dedicated in October of 1999 and has been available for use since the Fall Semester of 2000.
Thanks to her family, a great many new resources have been acquired and made available for the Anthropology Department and for those students that are currently taking Anthropology Classes. There are many others that have also contributed to our Research Center and we are grateful to them as well.
In order to use the Researach Center you must be a current UCCS student, be anthropology major or be taking an anthropology class. The center is open for use by appointment during the breaks and on weekends. If you wish to use the center please e-mail us at ant@uccs.edu and we will contact you
The Collection
The collection contains books, journals, archaeological documents, reprints, maps, some archive materials and other types of research data and materials.
All of the resources are in a database, searchable and must be checked out by the student with approval of one of the professors in the department or by one of the anthropology club officers.
The Research Center is available for your use and the Anthropology Club Officers and Professors are happy to assist you with any questions you may have regarding the collection.
Hours of Operation
The center is open for use by appointment at this time. If you wish to use the center please e-mail us at ant@brain.uccs.edu and we will contact you. You can also leave us a message at our desk in ROAR or on the door of the Research Center in Dwire Hall.CONTACTS
