Newsweek quoted UCCS faculty member Daphne Greenwood in Will We Double-Dip? Nelson honored for UCCS commercial. David Nelson, associate professor, Communication Department, recently received a bronze award in the commercial category of the 32nd Annual Telly Awards Competition. Nelson received the award for “Jigsaw Puzzle,” a 30 second commercial about UCCS.(More) Theatreworks makes move to professional actors. Theatreworks recently completed a seasonal agreement with the Actors’ Equity Association, the union of professional stage actors and managers. Southern Colorado STEM camp enlightens young scientists. With the assistance of UCCS staff members, Otero Junior College recently hosted more than 60 middle school students for a STEM in Real Life Camp, a summer youth program focused on science, technology, engineering and math. Sara Qualls, Kraemer Family Professor of Aging, presented “What Gets Aging Families in Trouble?
