Alumni Relations

The Quick Version

Alumni Relations manages relationships between UCCS and its 30,000 alumni and works to cultivate a strong bond between our graduates and their alma mater.

The Office of Alumni Relations is a division of University Advancement that exists to strengthen ties between UCCS and its over 30,000 alumni through management of the Alumni and Friends Association.

In the spirit of educational advancement, the Alumni and Friends Association strives to be the central link between the University and its alumni. The Alumni Association promotes and fosters a lasting and mutually beneficial relationship between alumni, the University, its students, and the community to support the mission, goals, and traditions of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.

Alumni Communication

The Office of Alumni Relations coordinates campus-wide communication with graduates through a few printed publications per year and an electronic “Year in Review” newsletter known as “The Roar.” Each month, the Alumni Association also maintains contact with UCCS graduates through college-specific e-newsletters sent to over 10,000 graduates and periodic invitations to special events.

In addition, the Office of Alumni Relations manages a social media presence on Facebook and LinkedIn. Members in these groups total roughly 2,000 alumni.

Special Events

The Office of Alumni Relations also hosts several alumni events each year, including a semi-annual Alumni Advancement Lecture Series, Alumni Nights at Theaterworks, and Family Night at the Parade of Lights (among others). How You Can Help

Currently, the main goal of the Office of Alumni Relations is to increase the accuracy of contact information for UCCS graduates so we can communicate with them more effectively. We encourage all colleges and departments undertaking alumni activities to work with the Office of Alumni Relations to ensure that alumni contact information is stored and maintained in a central database and in a consistent manner.

If you are a graduate of UCCS, you can update your contact information on the Alumni Association website. If you’re not sure what contact information we have in our database, feel free to submit our online information update form just in case – if there is a change to your information, we’ll take of it for you.
