3. UCCS Auxiliary Department Services and Events (as the publication is funded through Auxiliary Departments)

The promotion of non-university organizations is not allowed unless they have an official business partnership/relationship with UCCS. To comply with University policy, all programs, services and events advertised in the Commode Chronicles must be open to anyone in the campus community and may not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, political affiliation, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status. 

UCCS Student Clubs & Organizations
Advertised events must be hosted by a UCCS registered/recognized club or organization. Events must be registered and approved through the ROAR Office and be open to all students. The purpose of the Commode Chronicles is not to advertise member only events. 

Campus Wide Events or Departmental Services
Ads must be for an event or service that appeals to/affects a large percentage of students, faculty and/or staff.

UCCS Auxiliary Departments
Ads must be for an event sponsored by or service offered by a UCCS Auxiliary Department.

How to create an Ad:
There are two options for ad design/creation:

Option 1: The Auxiliary Marketing office designs an ad for you
                  Please provide:

1. ALL logos for any organizations that may be sponsoring the event
2. The EXACT text as you would like it to appear in the ad
3. If it is an event, provide name, date, location and time of the event
4. If it is a service, location of the service
5. Contact information for viewers who have questions or need additional information (this could be a website, phone number, email, etc.)
6. The preferred edition(s)/date for ad placement

Please provide all of the above information to commode@uccs.edu by 12:00 p.m. on the Wednesday before the first day of the requested edition.

Please note: There are only eight available ad spots in the Commode Chronicles.  Auxiliary departments pay for the entire publication and are guaranteed four of the twelve ads in each edition. For the remaining eight ads, preference is given to events and departments who have not advertised during the current semester. Ads will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. The Auxiliary Services Marketing department reserves the right to edit submitted ads. All decisions on editing and ad placement are final.

Option 2: Design your own ad

1. A file copy of your ad that is 3X the size of the Commode Chronicles ad. It can be in any format (.JPEG,. PSD, .Ai, .pptx, .pub…). The dimensions of the Commode Chronicles ads are 2.5” W X 4.7” H
2. The preferred edition(s)/date for ad placement

Please provide the above information to commode@uccs.edu by 12:00 p.m., the Thursday before the first day of the requested edition.
