University Center Advisory Board

Jeff Davis opened the meeting at 11:35 a.m. and committee member introductions were made.

Room Rate Policies: Jeff noted proposed changes for the University Center room rental rate policies. He noted that our rates would be compared with community rates. He noted that proposed changes in how far in advance a room rental can be made will be considered. Samantha suggested a table of contents with section hyperlinks be added to the website. Proposed changes will be sent out to the committee members.

Campus Growth: Campus has experienced 1.9% growth. Low growth rate factors impact campus and auxiliary organizations. If Referendum C fails on November 1, 2005, tuition will go up substantially. The current budget is planned for negative enrollment and includes utility rate increases. Jeff noted that he will try to negate some of these additional costs in the event that Referendum C fails.

Voting Poll Transportation: Student Government will be providing transportation to the polls on November 1, 2005. For further information contact the ROAR desk at x3470.
