PRAXIS

The Praxis Series tests are comprised of the Praxis I Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST), which are designed to measure basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics; and the Praxis II Subject Assessments, which measure knowledge of specific subjects that K-12 educators will teach, as well as general and subject-specific teaching skills and knowledge. College and universities use the PPST tests to evaluate individuals for entry into teacher education programs. State education agencies use the PPST tests for teacher licensure and certification. The assessments are generally taken early in your college career.
