The ACT is an entrance exam for incoming undergraduate students. The results are valid for admission to the CU System only. If you have taken the residual ACT you must wait 60 days before you can retest. The English portion of the ACT is offered for placement into UCCS English courses. Each of the ACT multiple-choice tests is constructed to measure knowledge and skills typically taught in high school that are important for successfully completing a college education. The exam consists of four parts: English, Mathematics, Science, and Reading.
