How to Post a Job

Area employers may list their job opportunities at no cost on SEAN by following these steps:

  1. Review the SEAN Service Agreement.
  2. Login to through the Employer Login page.
    • On-Campus Employers: Use your UCCS Username and password to log in.
    • Off-Campus Employers: You must register as a new employer before you can post. (Note: to avoid confusion use your Email address as your username and your phone number as your password).
  3. Click on "New Job" and fill out the form for your job posting.
  4. Submit your job posting. The posting will be sent to the Student Employment office for review. You will receive a confirmation email once it is reviewed.
  5. Job applicants will contact you by the method specified on the job posting.
  6. We will contact you (preferably by e-mail) every week to check on any changes in the job posting.
  7. Please notify our Job Locator Desk at (719) 255-3454 or e-mail us when your job order is filled.

How to Edit or Re-Post a Job

  1. Login on the Employer Login site.
  2. After you have logged in successfully, click on List My Jobs.
  3. The next screen will ask you in what order you would like to see your previous and current job postings. You may choose the sorting order to your preference and then click on Get Results to view your job orders.
  4. The screen that comes up next will have your current/previous jobs listed on it. To go into edit any of those jobs click on either the number or the arrow next to the job order.
  5. The job order form will come up and will look as it did when you first posted the job. Make any changes you would like and then click on Post Job or Update (button at the bottom of the form). Note: to repost a job be sure to change the POST DATE to the date you want your job posted on and change the REMOVE DATE to the date you would like it removed on.
  6. The changes/posting will then be sent to Student Employment to approve. After we have approved the changes you will receive a conformation letter via email telling you that the job has been posted/updated.
  7. We will contact you (preferably by e-mail) every week to check on any changes in the job posting.
  8. Please notify our Job Locator Desk at (719) 255-3454 or e-mail us when your job order is filled.

How to Close a Job

  1. Login on the Employer Login site.
  2. After you have logged in successfully, click on List My Jobs.
  3. The next screen will ask you in what order you would like to see your previous and current job postings. You may choose the sorting order to your preference and then click on Get Results to view your job orders.
  4. The screen that comes up next will have your current/previous jobs listed on it. To go into edit/close any of those jobs click on either the number or the arrow next to the job order.
  5. The job order form will come up and look as it did when you first posted the job. Check the Bubble that says Close Job it is found in the first line of the job order form entitled Status of Job and then click on the Post Job or Update button on the bottom of the form.
  6. The changes will then be sent to Student Employment to approve. After we have approved the changes you will receive a conformation letter via email telling you that the job has been closed
  7. If it was filled with a UCCS student please notify our Job Locator Desk at (719) 255-3454 or e-mail us with the students name.

What is a Student Profile and how do I receive them?

A student profile is an application form or resume that can be sent to employers through SEAN's place. To use it all you have to do when posting a job is make sure that the "Allow Student to Send Their Student Profile" is checked as "yes". Also, you need to make sure that in the How to Apply category, "Send Student Profile" is checked as an option so that students will know that they can send it in.

This helps speed up the application process. When students send their profile to you it will send an email to you with a link in the email that takes you straight to their profile. If you have any trouble using this option please notify our Job Locator Desk at <719) 255-3454 or e-mail us.

*Note: If you wish to post an Off Campus Work Study job with UCCS, you must have a contract with the University to do so!
