A person in Criminal Justice gets to move around constantly and talk to different kinds of people within their community. For a person with patience and great communication skills who naturally likes helping, a degree in criminal justice enhances skills and opportunities as a police officer, probation/parole officer, prison guard, or child protective services worker.
Mr. Guidry’s sees the humor in most every situation. His understanding of criminal justice and the criminal justice system is grounded in Frederick Douglass’ wisdom: “Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe.” Mr. Guidry lives by his motto: Do the right thing, the right way for the right reason each and every day.
