Ms. Lee was born in Colorado Springs, but in 1977 moved to Unalaska, Alaska, a small island on the Aleutian Chain. There she taught English to students in grades 7-12. In her 20 year career in education in Unalaska, she served as a Chief School Administrator, grant writer, curriculum developer, English teacher, upper elementary math teacher, school yearbook and newspaper advisor and many, many other positions that were required of her.
She brings to the UCCS School of Public Affairs, a love of education that runs through all she does whether it is learning about the current students in the School of Public Affairs, learning with prospective students as they navigate the application process from Colorado Springs or India, supporting faculty in their own learning about online learning platforms or tackling the intricacies of web design and maintenance.
Her belief in service and community, the underlying tenets of Public Administration and Criminal Justice studies, makes her perfectly suited to her student outreach and services position at the School of Public Affairs.
Areas of Interest: Dogs, Reading, Gardening, Laughing
Ms. Lee's favorite piece of music: Gustav Mahler's Adagio from his Symphony No. 5
