Katlin Hickerson, A.T., C. - Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer

Education:

Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Kansas, Lawerence, KS

Athletic Training Experience:

While at KU, I worked camps and tournaments, including the Olympic qualifier Kansas Relays. After graduating, I worked at Basehor-Linwood High in Kansas and then Nathan Hale High in Oklahoma as a head trainer.

Future Plans:

After graduation, I hope to establish some roots. After moving 11 times I'm ready to find a place to stay. I look forward to finding a job where I can still grow in experience and learn new things.

Kelli Ferguson, A.T., C. - Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer

Education:

Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from University of Nebraska - Lincoln, Lincoln, NE

Athletic Training Experience:

Student athletic trainer at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln working largely with the Cornhusker Football team and Cornhusker Wrestling team.
Worked summers as a student athletic trainer for youth and high school wrestling and football camps.
Studied abroad in Australia, focusing on athletic training in other countries.

Favorite thing about Athletic Training:

The opportunity to travel and to work with some amazing athletes. Knowing that each athlete is unique, so no two situations will be exactly the same. 

Future Plans:

To graduate with my Master's Degree from UCCS and then hopefully stay in the Colorado area working as an athletic trainer.
