VHS cassettes are another common source for video in the classroom, but unfortunately these cassettes are reaching the end of their life cycle. DVD's and most recently Blu-Ray discs and online streaming media sources have replaced the VHS cassette.

The IT Department strongly recommends you legally transfer any VHS media to a more modern format such as DVD. The FRC and Media Services can assist you with this project. The current sunset date for VHS support is at the end of the Spring 2015 semester.  At that time we will drop support and begin removing VCRs from our Smart Classrooms.
