VHS cassettes are another common source for video in the classroom, but unfortunately these cassettes are reaching the end of their life cycle. DVD's and most recently Blu-Ray discs and online streaming media sources have replaced the VHS cassette.
The IT Department strongly recommends you legally transfer any VHS media to a more modern format such as DVD. The FRC and Media Services can assist you with this project. Currently we do not have a fixed sunset date for dropping support for the VHS format in our smart classrooms, but we will be forced to drop support when the hardware breaks down and repair or replacement is no longer practical.
