 ill student

Due to the increase in flu activity both on and off campus and an increase in cases of whooping cough (pertussis) in the community, the Student Health Center asks that if you are experiencing a fever greater than 100° along with a severe sore throat and/or significant cough, that you contact your professor and notify them of your illness. We encourage students to refrain from attending classes when these symptoms are present, but this is a discussion you should have with your professor prior to your scheduled class time. We also encourage you to obtain a pertussis booster if you have not had one within the past 10 years, and to seek medical services as you deem appropriate.
