Furniture and equipment designations for staff/ faculty/student employees/researhc assistants/administrators have begun and should be turned in to Diane Alberico by September 8.

All people must have an assigned location by name. Student employess can be designated by number if no name is available. Please see Timeline for further deadlines. Check this page in the coming months for the people and department locations tied to the new building floorplans.

Furniture/Equipment designations: Once personnel locations are designated furniture and equipment will be selected/designated from existing campus inventories. Hierarchies will be established for the furniture located in the building with nicer/newer items placed in more public locations. Every space, including common/public space will have a furniture layout and appropriate furnishings designation.

Some furniture will have to be purchased for the building as existing campus inventories will not cover all the spaces in the new building. Furniture may be moved from existing spaces, which will require the new occupants of those spaces to provide furnishings as they move into newly vacated space in Science, Engineering , and University Hall . These secondary relocations will also be addressed during the second phase of the Science Engineering moves.

Art in Public Places committee has also begun to form in order to select the required public art peices placed in buildings which are provided state construction monies. Check back here for information on the selections.
