Group Liability Any damage occurring during the use of any of the common rooms in the village will be the responsibility of the group confirming the reservation.
Hanging Items/Wipe Boards Items may be hung with masking tape only or use the tack boards if provided in the common room, Shavano and Antero commons rooms are equipped with dry erase boards, you must provide your own dry erase makers and make sure all boards are clean when you leave and that all items are taken down from the tack boards or removed from the walls.
Room Equipment and Set Up Each room must be left in the condition in which it was found. Please refer to the special set up pages following; special set ups may be an additional charge.
Food and Beverage Food and beverages are allowed in village common rooms with the exception of the Computer Labs. Any mess created by having food or beverages will be the sole responsibility of the confirming group and must be cleaned up before the user group leaves.
Alcoholic Beverages Alcoholic beverages are permitted in the commons area with an Alcohol Permit that can be obtained through the Dean of Students Office.
Quiet Hours All programs must comply with ORL&H quiet hours. Sunday through Thursday events must end by 10:00 pm and Friday and Saturday events must end by 1:00 am. In the event that noise is elevated to a level that is disturbing the residents of the building you will be notified to quiet down, first and foremost this is a community in which people study and live and disruptions will be handled accordingly.
General Guidelines for Use of Common Rooms
You are responsible for the facility and the use of the room.
You are responsible for your guest's actions as well as their conduct.
Absolutely NO SMOKING is permitted in any of the buildings or common areas.
A room's maximum occupancy is to be strictly adhered to as defined by The Office of Residence Life and Housing.
Unless otherwise contracted you are responsible for the clean up of the room you have reserved; all trash should be taken to the nearest dumpster, tables wiped off and generally the room should look as when you arrived.
Common restrooms will be cleaned by the Alpine Village staff the next day (or after your event); it is your responsibility to notify the Alpine Village staff if the restrooms need attention sooner than their next scheduled cleaning.
All residents, university members and guests using Alpine and Summit Village common rooms are expected to abide by all university, local, state, and Federal rules, regulations and laws. Violations will be prosecuted in the respective manner.
The event holder is responsible for coordinating parking and any other special needs (i.e. catering) with the appropriate university office.
