An official transcript is a comprehensive record of academic coursework and progress within the University of Colorado system that reflects earned degrees as well as credits accepted in transfer or by exam.

Any financial obligations with a CU campus must be resolved before a transcript can be released. Students with access to myUCCS Portal should check the Alerts section for any holds on their account.

All CU History Transcript:  Includes all coursework from any CU campus taken as a undergraduate, graduate, or non-degree seeking student.  Note: does not include non-credit coursework.

Undergraduate Career Transcripts: Only includes coursework taken as an undergraduate student.  This type of transcript request will also include any unclassified (non-degree undergraduate) coursework.
  • Note:  Pre-1988 coursework is not available in the Undergraduate career transcript format.
Graduate Career Transcripts:  Includes all coursework from any CU campus taken as a degree seeking graduate student.  This type of transcript request will not include any courses that you may have taken while classified as a non-degree seeking graduate or undergraduate student, nor will it include any non-credit coursework.  If you would like to include all courses you took at any CU campus, regardless of your degree classification, you should request an 'All CU History' transcript.
  • Note:  Pre-1988 coursework is not available in the Graduate career transcript format.
Non-Credit Transcript: Only includes non-credit course work taken through Extended Studies or Continuing Education at any CU campus.

Students who apply for jobs or admission to universities in other countries often need a notarized diploma or transcript.

If ordering a transcript online, request notarization by uploading a file attachment specifying your request.

If ordering by mail, specify your request in the instructions field.  If you need your transcript authenticated with an apostille, first request a notarized transcript. When you receive it, forward it to the Colorado Secretary of State for authentication. See the Secretary of State website for instructions and fee information.

Please allow 2 - 3 days for processing.  Also, please note that we cannot provide expedited service (same day pick-up or FedEx services) for these types of requests.

To request a transcript you must login or register by creating a new account. If you have already registered, please enter your Email and Password to the left and click Sign In.

If this is your first time using the online order system, please click Create Account and enter the required information using a non-UCCS email address. Using a non-UCCS email address will insure that you are able to order transcripts after you leave UCCS. Once your account is created you will be able to request transcripts online and track the status of your orders.

Paper Transcripts:  All official transcripts are imprinted with the school seal and the signature of the Registrar certifying its authenticity. The University of Colorado Colorado Springs officially sealed and signed transcript is printed on blue security paper with security toner, with the name of the university printed in large white type across the face of the document. A raised seal is not required When photocopied the word COPY should appear. A BLACK AND WHITE OR COLOR COPY SHOULD NOT BE ACCEPTED. The back of every page includes a Guide to Transcript Evaluation and Key.

Electronic Certified PDF Transcripts print with a watermark letting you know it is a print of the original, the original being the PDF itself, not its printed copy.

When our paper is touched by fresh liquid bleach, the document will stain. The University of Colorado Colorado Springs uses the Troy Group patented anti-fraud toner technology, which forces a bright red stain to appear if chemical or other alteration of a document is attempted. Troy Security Toner is a solution that protects all paper transcript printing.
Electronic Certified PDF:  We apply a digital signature to the PDF transcript that is automatically validated. We implement Certified Document Services from Verisign® to mark the document as authentic, proving that it was created and published by the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Furthermore, the digital signature provides a tamper-evident wrapper on the document. The blue ribbon seal must be present to both authenticate and demonstrate the integrity of the document. This is automatically verified when the recipient views the authentic document using the free Adobe® Reader.

If you do not see a certified blue ribbon in Adobe® Acrobat or Adobe® Reader bearing the words "This document was certified by University of Colorado Colorado Springs with a valid certificate issued by GeoTrust CA for Adobe" this PDF SHOULD NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Currently enrolled students can view and print their unofficial transcripts by accessing their myUCCS Portal.
