National Alcohol Awareness Week. There will be 3 events at housing in the Lighthouse during the week of October 22nd thru 26th.
Oct. 23rd starting at 8:30 pm. is Virgin Drink night. There will be non-alcoholic drinks provided along with a movie. No movie title yet.
On Oct. 24th, Dennis Anderson, UCCS counselor, will be giving a program on the history of alcohol.
On Oct. 25th, there will be 3 RA's who will be drinking alcohol and will be monitored as to the effects it has on them. It will begin at approximately 5:00 pm. with the RA's consumingalcohol and they will then be monitored for the effects over a two hour period. At approximately 7:00 they should be showing effects of the alcohol consumption. A State Patrol Trooper will be there to conduct roadside maneuvers, etc.
Fingerprint Your Child - Fall Fest Event October 27th from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the University center, first floor Lobby
University police are available all day to fingerprint your child at no cost. Get a lasting record of your child's fingerprints.
Health and Safety Talk - Fall Fest Event October 27th
A health and safety talk will be given by UCCS Police Chief Susan Szpyrka and Health Center Director Rick Meadows as one of the Family and Friends Programs offered during Fall Fest.
Rape Aggression Defense Program - Advanced Class November 9 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. November 10 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. November 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. November 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. For women only. Participants must have completed the basic RAD class.
