For resident parking area and all other permit restricted areas on campus, A VALID PERMIT MUST BE DISPLAYED ON YOUR VEHICLE BY THE FIRST DAY OF CLASSES, August 24, 2016 There is NO "grace period." Tickets WILL be written for violations the first day of the semester. Please read the following information regarding parking options. Owning a permit but not displaying it will result in a ticket. Resident permits are valid for fall 2015 and spring 2016 semesters only. Residents who bring a car to campus will be issued their Academic Year permit at the day of their move-in to campus housing. These permits are included in housing fees and no additional payment is necessary at time of issuance. However, current vehicle registration is required to be shown at time of issuance. Residents who possess a valid state-issued handicapped permit or license plate registered in their name may park in ANY handicapped space on the UCCS campus as long as both the UCCS permit and handicapped plate/permit is displayed simultaneously.
Cars violating parking regulations will be subject to ticket and/or tow. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. YOU ARE NOT PURCHASING A RESERVED PARKING SPACE. Students should direct all inquiries concerning parking to Parking Services at 719-255-3528.
Academic Year Resident Permit: Valid in Green (Alpine Garage & Field) and Orange (100 series) lots only. Resident permits are valid at the western half of the level 1 of the Alpine Garage and all of levels 2, 3, and 4. Residents may NOT park in the visitor portion (eastern half) of the Alpine Garage at any time.
Friday Only Permit: This permit is valid in Orange and Yellow (100-200 series) lots and the Parkway Garage, Levels 1, 2, 4 & 5 all day on Fridays only. As this permit is optional, an additional payment of $26.00 is required for those residents wishing to purchase.
Evening "P' Permit: This permit is valid in Orange and Yellow (100-200 series) lots and the Parkway Garage, Levels 1, 2, 4 & 5 on Mondays-Thursdays after 4:15pm or anytime on Fridays. As this permit is optional, an additional payment of $81.00 is required for those residents wishing to purchase.
Motorcycle Permit: This permit is valid in all designated Motorcycle Parking areas only. Motorcycles MAY NOT BE PARKED IN REGULAR SPACES except in visitor parking areas on campus and then the space must be paid for through the visitor pay station. All residents may receive one motorcycle permit at no cost while supplies last.
All students are automatically charged a Safety and Transportation fee. This fee is not a parking fee and is not used for parking-related improvements. This fee is used to provide enhanced police services and shuttle services for the UCCS community. The Safety and Transportation fee is billed directly to the student's account.
