The UCCS Center for STEM Education is now offering a summer Physics course!

This two week physics course will introduce the principles of conceptual physics to students entering grades 9-12. The material is presented as a college level course, and students will receive an official grade and 3 college credits when completed. If your child is looking to receive high school credit as well, they must contact their school for more information.

Course runs Monday through Friday, June 17-28, 2013 - 8 am to noon on the UCCS campus. More information will be sent out 3 weeks before the class - i.e. syllabus and textbook information.

Course Description: A non-mathematical overview of physics and how it affects our everyday life. Topics to be included are balancing and equilibrium, tornadoes, weather patterns, circus balancing acts, air conditioners, musical instruments and other interesting applications of physics. Recommended for students with little or no science or mathematics background. Approved for UCCS LAS Natural Science area requirement.

  

Cancellation Policy Full refunds are only made if parent cancels 7 days prior to event start.  No refunds will be made after 7 days before event start (Monday the week before the event).
