
Students of the UCCS PGA Golf Management Program complete a 120-credit hour curriculum of academic courses leading to a business degree of their choosing and successful completion of the PGA Golf Management professional training program. Both include specialized courses such as:
• Anatomy and Exercise Science Applied to Golf
• Retail Merchandise Management
• Human Resource Management
• Food and Beverage Service Management
• Turf Grass Management
• Swing Concepts and Analysis
• Golf Club Design and Repair
• Tournament Operations
Students can choose their specific major from among essentially all those offered by the College of Business, including Service Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management and Business Administration, among others.
More than half of the academic coursework is taken in the College of Business with the remainder in areas outside business, providing students with broad educational experiences. The curriculum is available online.
Students also complete knowledge tests administered by the PGA Golf Management 2.0 program, the Playing Ability Test, and three supervised full-time internships.
