Julie Anderson

Julie Anderson, MS, RD, CSSD, CPT

Julie is a registered dietitian whom is a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and a personal trainer. She has extensive experience in helping individuals relinquish obsessions about food and/or weight, allowing them to develop a healthy relationship with food and reach a natural, healthy weight and lifestyle. Julie guides her clients towards the healthy lifestyle they have long desired with compassion, insight and encouragement.

Prior to pursuing a career in nutrition, Julie served in the U.S. Air Force and is a Desert Shield/Storm Veteran. After her military service she pursued an undergraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences followed by a Master's of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion.

While living in Arizona, she worked as a clinical dietitian at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson, followed by a move to Honolulu HI, where she worked as an outpatient dietitian and television spokesperson for Straub Hospital. Another military move brought her to Albuquerque where she worked as a Research Scientist on a childhood obesity research project at the University of New Mexico. In 2009 she and her husband moved to Colorado Springs where she worked as a military Health and Wellness Dietitian at Peterson Air Force Base and has recently made the move to UCCS. Julie is an avid triathlete and Ironman competitor, which ignited her passion for sports nutrition. She also specializes in weight management and eating disorder therapy. She believes there is no one perfect meal plan or exercise program-individuals have different lifestyles, goals, financial or time constraints and physical capabilities, so each program she develops is designed uniquely for you.
