Sep. 12 2015 Pre-Collegiate College Fair 12th Grade Students and Parents Join us for the 25th Annual Pre-Collegaite College Fair and the University of Colorado Denver Campus. Meet representatives from colleges across Colorado and have the opportunity to attend many informational sessions about the college experience and process. 
September 12, 2015 Parent Alliance Meeting All Parents (Optional)  Come meet with other Pre-Collegaite parents and the staff of PCDP. This is your opportunity to tell us what you want to see, and what would make this program more valuable for your students. This is not a required event, but it is highly recommended. For the parents who do attend, their students will have one extra absence allowed for the academic year. 
September 24, 2015 High School Survival 9th Grade - RSVP ONLY High school is a totally different experience than middle school. In this workshop, students will gain a better understanding of what it takes to excel in high school. They'll begin setting goals and will be given the tools necessary to be succeed over the next four years.

September 26, 2015 ACT Prep 11th Grade As part of PCDP, every student is required to take the ACT three times (Twice as a junior, and once as a senior). This workshop will help students identify areas of strength and weakness and how to best prepare for the ACT. 
October 10, 2015 College Survival Tips Pt. 1 12th Grade Now that you've made it to your final year in high school, it's really time to start preparing for college. This workshop will give seniors a better idea of what to expect in their first year of college, and how to cope with all of the changes that come with this transition. 
October 14, 2015 On Your Way to Great Grades 8th Grade Middle school is not always as easy as it seems. This workshop will give students different tips and tricks that they can begin implementing in their studies now to boost, or maintain, their grades. This will also help them as they begin thinking about the transition to high school. 
October 17, 2015 Pre-Collegiate Leadership Development (PLD) 9th, 10th, 11th Grade
Pre-Collegiate Leadership Development is a five-stage approach beginning in the 7th grade. Students will gain a basic understanding of past and current leadership theories, and will be given the tools to apply them to themselves and to groups in order to make positive change.
October 17, 2015 STEM Academy 8th Grade In this workshop, students will explore the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
November 14, 2015 Financial Aid Workshop 12th Grade Students and Parents Financial Aid can be intimidating, but it's so important! This workshop will connect students and parents to a financial aid expert from UCCS. You'll learn about scholarships, grants, the FAFSA process, and so much more. 
 November 14, 2015 New Student Orientation  ALL NEW recruits and parents Now that you've been accepted into the Pre-Collegiate program, come learn more about what expect from students and parents. This is mandatory, and very important for all new recruits and parents. 

January 30, 2016
Group Communication Workshop ALL NEW RECRUITS For new recruits only in all grade levels! This day will allow you to meet other new students who were recruited this year, as well as gain some leadership skills, communication skills, and explore what the UCCS campus has to offer. The workshop will begin in the Upper Lodge, but will take place in multiple areas of the campus. 
February 6, 2016 PLD Application Day 11th Grade This workshop is in development. Check back for more information soon!
February 6, 2016 Career Exploration 9th Grade Not sure exactly what you want to do after high school? Maybe you have no idea what you want to major in during college? This workshop will expose you to the many different options you have. You don't have to choose a career yet, but it's never too early to begin thinking about it!
February 6, 2016 STEM Academy 7th Grade In this workshop, students will explore the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
February 13, 2016 Making High School Work for You 10th Grade This workshop will help 10th grade students start preparing early for college! We'll talk about what colleges are looking for, and what you can be doing right now to make yourself the ideal candidate for whatever school you choose!

March 12, 2016 Personal Branding Basics 8th Grade How do you want others to view you? What are colleges looking for? This workshop will give you a better understanding of how to be a professional student, and how NOT to jeopardize your college experience on social media, email, etc. 
April 16, 2016 Preparing for Summer (SAI) 9th, 10th, 11th Grade We're almost done with the academic year! That means you've got a busy summer with Pre-Collegiate ahead of you. We'll be talking about summer requirements, dates and deadlines, and the schedule of events. 
April 27, 2016 Senior Closing Ceremony Seniors and Parents Come celebrate all of your accomplishments with Pre-Collegiate before the year ends. You completed every requirement of the program, and now it's time celebrate your success!
May 7, 2016 PCDP Conference 9th and 10th Grade This conference will offer different breakout sessions on planning for college and paying for college. Don't wait until your junior and senior year to begin thinking about this!
