JULY 15-26 8AM-12PM RISING JUNIORS & SENIORS COMM 1020 - Interpersonal Communication This course will introduce you to communication theory and its application in everyday communication. This course will offer students a variety of activities to engage different learning styles for different learners (visual, auditory, tactile, kinesthetic, etc.) and balance subjective/objective evaluation techniques (writing and exams). There are four domains of communication competency that will be covered in this course: 1-Cognitive (knowing) 2-Behavioral (doing/skill building) 3-Affective (feeling) and 4-Ethical (valuing). 3.0

RISING SENIORS: MANDATORY CORE
JULY 15-26 1PM-5PM RISING SENIORS COMM 2010 - Oral Communication in the Workplace
Designed to develop and enhance individual oral communication skills and competencies, for practical use, in various business and professional settings. Course includes four main components: 1) Basics of Business Communication 2) Interpersonal skills and strategies 3) Working in groups and 4) Preparing and delivering effective business presentations. 3.0 *Textbooks will be provided.

COMM 1110 - Introduction to Leadership

This course is an exploration of the relationship between leadership theory and practice. The course uses the Student Leadership Challenge text, inventory, and workbook to give students insight into five exemplary leadership practices as a means for understanding their leadership style and charting a course for their future development.
