The NISSSC is an institute of the University of Colorado established in 2005 seeking global solutions to problems of critical national and international importance, with the ultimate aim of building individual and collective resilience. NISSSC achieves this goal through innovative research, policy analysis, and education, providing policymakers and the public with meaningful answers to our nation's most pressing challenges.

Leveraging the unique capabilities of our four Centers, we conduct cross-cutting research, serve as a nexus for critical scientific and policy dialogue, promote the public good through outreach and publication, and prepare the next generation of science and technology professionals. We are committed to enhancing national resilience through exchange of ideas by bringing worldwide experts together to promote a national conversation.
Who We Are
