It is almost time to start registering for your fall 2014 courses. All students in the Mechanical Engineering Department are required to attend a group advising session before you can register for your fall 2014 courses. There will be a hold placed on your account preventing you from registering for your courses until you have done your required advising.

The only way to have your General Advising hold removed is by attending a group advising session (see dates/times below). For any additional questions, you may contact Claire Ami or Katie Horner in the Student Success Center in Main Hall 208.  They are available through email, walk-in advising (see their website for special walk-in hours as it gets closer to registration, or scheduled appointments.

You must attend one of the group advising sessions below, or you will not be released to register for classes until the end of the semester.
o   Tuesday, March 18 -- 7 am - 8 am, Dwire 121
o   Tuesday, March 18 -- 10:50 am - 12:05 pm, Centennial 106
o   Thursday, March 20 -- 1:40 pm - 2:55 pm, Columbine 303

The 'required' group advising sessions have passed and you must now schedule an appointment with your faculty advisor.  Once that is completed, the hold will be released at the end of the spring 2014 semester which is May 17, 2014.

** PPCC Concurrent Students- You will need to contact the Student Success Center either by email, walk-in appointment, or scheduled appointment to get your general advising hold removed.
** If you will be a summer 2014 or fall 2014 grad, and have already completed your senior audit with me, then you are not required to complete the general advising.

Below are a few important date and reminders:

·         Shopping Carts open March 17 for summer and March 31 for fall.

·         You must check your individual enrollment date and time to see when you can register for classes. Each person has a different assigned date and time based on your completed number of credits. Registration for the    campus begins March 31 for summer and April 14 for fall, so your enrollment time will be sometime after that date.

·         The last day to drop courses for spring 2014 semester without special approval from the dean is April 4.

An excel spreadsheet can be accessed HERE to do a 'self advising' to ensure you are on schedule, meeting the pre-requisites and taking the required courses in order to earn your degree.  General Instructions (Please use the latest version located at the top):  Enter the classes exactly as listed in the catalog, without spaces (e.g. MAE1502, MAE4000, or PES1110).  If you plan on taking the Aero minor, please select "TRUE" from the drop down box at the bottom.  Faults with pre/co-requisites will show on the right column in red, missing classes for the ME major or AE minor will be listed at the bottom.  Please report all errors in the sheet
