The Kraemer Family Library is pleased to announce that holds can now be placed on available items! You can request library materials online in the Kraemer Library Catalog and have them retrieved by library staff and held at the Circulation Desk. Please note that this service is provided for materials with an available status in the catalog. Materials that are checked out, on order, or are being processed will have a hold placed on them and you will be notified when they are available.
Who can place a hold?
All registered Kraemer Family Library patrons can place holds.
What types of items can be placed on hold?
Holds can be placed on most items owned by the Kraemer Family Library. Items that cannot be held include reference material, special collections items, reserves, online items, or any other "Library Use Only" items.
How do I place a hold?
To place a hold simply click on the Request/Hold link in the catalog record.
How long will it take for you to process my request?
Available items will be pulled within 24 hours of being placed on hold. Holds placed on days when the library is closed will be pulled the next day the library is open. Materials that are checked out, on order, or are being processed will have a hold placed on them and you will be notified by email when they are available.
How will I know when my items are ready?
You will receive an email when your items are ready to be picked-up.
Where do I pick-up my items?
Items are held for you at the Library Circulation Desk. Remember, you must bring your UCCS ID or CLC library card in order to check-out items.
How long are items held for me?
Items will be held for 7 days.
What if there is a problem with my request?
If we are unable to fulfill your hold you will receive a hold cancelation notice through email.
Is there a charge for this service?
No, this service is offered free of charge! It's our way of making library items more reliably accessible to our patrons.
