Archives Display: History of the School of Public Affairs

history of the school of public affairs display

The Spring Archives display traces the origin and development of the School of Public Affairs.  From its origin as a degree-granting Institute in Boulder and gradual separation from the Political Science Departments, it became the Graduate School of Public Affairs when the Denver and Colorado Springs branches became official campuses of the University of Colorado.  Development of degree programs and specialization tracks responded to community needs.  In 2007, the introduction of the Bachelor of Criminal Justice led to the name change to the School of Public Affairs.  Academic degrees, certificate programs, and professional development events are described.
