The Library's September 2013 display celebrates Intergeneration Month. The Intergeneration Foundation originally began celebrating Intergeneration Day on the first Sunday of October, and expanded to observing Intergeneration Month every September starting in 2012. The display highlights both fiction and non-fiction titles in the collection that highlight interactions between the generations.
The Intergeneration Foundation is also sponsoring a storytelling contest for writers. You can submit an original short story (less than 500 words), featuring characters from at least two different generations, for a chance to win cash prizes. Full rules and entry instructions are available on the Intergeneration Month website.
