As the Faculty Director of Access Services and Scholarly Communications I play an important role in supporting the academic mission of UCCS. My responsibilities involve many facets of librarianship:
I oversee the Circulation Department and am responsible for enhancing our library’s borrowing and lending services. I’m always looking for new ways to help our patrons gain access to information! Some of the services I’ve helped implement include:

UCCS Copyright Education Initiative
In 2012 I launched the UCCS Copyright Education Initiative, a program that helps students and instructors learn how they can legally utilize copyrighted works for teaching, research, and scholarship. One of the primary components of the Initiative is workshops, lectures, and brown bag seminars through which I address a variety of campus copyright issues. I also offer one-on-one consultations for faculty and students where I provide assistance with specific copyright questions or issues.

UCCS Copyright Conference
I served as the Chair of the UCCS Copyright Conference, which was last held in June 2014. This conference offered public, academic, and school librarians the opportunity to learn about U.S. Copyright Law and how it impacts the services we offer our patrons. Topics covered included
