Safe Zone Training
Have a Happy Summer!
The LGBT Resource Center does not have any trainings planned this summer, but we'll be back in the fall! Below are the events we put on yearly. Make sure you keep an eye out for new events each semester. Even though we don't put any training events during summer, the office is still open, so drop by and say hi sometime.
Safe Zone is a training designed to educate students, faculty, staff and community members about the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. Safe Zone is an allies training that will explore terminology, the coming out process, gender identity and how to be a supportive ally of the LGBT community. This program creates a visible safe community on campus through the display of Safe Zone Stickers; you can earn yours by participating in the next Safe Zone training! Safe Zone training is approximately 2 hours long.
