MATH 90-4 Algebra I: Fundamentals of Algebra
MATH 99-4 Algebra II: Intermediate Algebra

A review of basic algebra and arithmetic, including algebra of polynomials, factorization of simple polynomials, arithmetic operations on fractions and rational expressions, laws of exponents, linear equations and inequalities in one variable, quadratic equations using factoring.

This course does not count toward a BA or BS degree. For more information on this course, please see the course page at the Math Department web site. The textbook for the course is available at the UCCS bookstore.

The tuition for these sections is $450, plus $21 (approx) Extended Studies campus fees, plus $8 SIS Administrative fee. To register, enter your myUCCS student portal and register as you would for a regular course. You will have the option of adding yourself to a waitlist if your preferred section is full. If you are looking for your course in the Course Search function, remember to search under the “Colorado Springs Extended Studies” listings. Registration will open on April 1, 2013.

IMPORTANT FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION

This course is approved for Financial Aid through UCCS, and therefore these credit hours may count toward a full-time UCCS student's load. Please contact a Financial Aid counselor if you have any questions related to financial aid.

Tuition for Summer 2013 Extended Studies courses is due by June 17, 2013; balances for Summer 2013 registrations will post by approximately May 21, 2013 for registrations completed before this date. Balances will post immediately for registrations completed after this date. Make sure to wait for your balance to appear in your online account before you make your payment. You may pay via credit card in your student account or by Electronic Funds Transfer; if you are not able to make your payment by either of these methods, please contact the Campus-Wide Extended Studies office at 719/255-3498 to set up a payment by another method. Do not wait to receive a bill; you may be charged late fees.

The withdrawal deadline for Summer 2013 is June 17, 2013. If you are withdrawing before this date, you may withdraw in your student account and receive a full tuition refund. If you are withdrawing after this date, you must contact LAS Extended Studies at 719/255-4071 or lases@uccs.edu to complete withdrawal paperwork; you will not receive a full tuition refund if you withdraw after this date.
