A comprehensive, introductory course describing the effect of exercise on normal, physiological function. The course will describe the long-term benefits of exercise training, training adaptations and control mechanisms for those adaptations. Taught by Andrew W. Subudhi, Ph.D., of the UCCS Department of Biology.
This fully-online course earns three (3) semester hours of Biology Department credit at the undergraduate level. Enrolling now for the Summer 2013 semester. Tuition for the course is $945 plus $100 LAS Blackboard fee, plus $6 SIS Administrative fee, for a total of $1,051. Course begins on June 10, 2013 and concludes on August 2, 2013.
Online registration for this course opens on April 1, 2013; however, this section is open only to non-degree-seeking students and those participating in the EdAssist Program. UCCS degree-seeking students should register for BIOL 3300-OL1. The new UCCS registration system will make it more feasible for most students to use their financial aid to pay Extended Studies tuition. Tuition for Summer 2012 Extended Studies courses is due by June 18, 2012. Balances for Summer 2012 registrations will post by May 22, 2012 for registrations completed before this date; balances will post immediately for registrations completed after this date. Make sure to wait for your balance to appear in your online account before you make your payment. You may pay via credit card in your student account or by Electronic Funds Transfer; if you are not able to make your payment by either of these methods, please contact the Campus-Wide Extended Studies office at 719/255-3498 to set up a payment by another method. Do not wait to receive a bill; you may be charged late fees.
The withdrawal deadline for this course is June 18, 2012. If you are withdrawing before this date, you may withdraw in your student portal account and receive a full tuition refund. If you are withdrawing after this date, you must contact LAS Extended Studies at 719/255-4071 or email@example.com to complete withdrawal paperwork; you will not receive a full tuition refund if you withdraw after this date.
