Small classes, accessible faculty, and a wealth of options. These are just a few of the qualities that draw students to the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences (LAS). With 17 majors and 30 minors and an abundance of graduate programs, it's the largest college on the UCCS campus, offering an array of exciting degree programs that span the disciplines. From coursework in the natural and social sciences to programs in the humanities, the College provides the experiences of a large university in an individualized, student-focused setting.

Here, learning does not stop in the classroom: anthropology students participate in archaeological digs around the world; psychology and sociology students practice their coursework in an array of community organizations; opportunities for internships and professional experience abound.

After graduation, students from the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences are thoroughly prepared for careers in a variety of fields or for the continuation of their academic pursuits in graduate study. Students in pre-professional programs such as pre-medicine, pre-law and pre-dentistry boast an outstanding acceptance rate to some of the nation's top law and medical schools. Some have received nationally-prestigious Mellon, Fulbright and Marshall scholarships as a testament to their outstanding education. In addition, Army ROTC atCU-Colorado Springs is ranked the best in Colorado and one of the top programs nationwide.
