SEED Program

Because of limited financial resources, Universities, including ours, are turning to their own faculty and staff to provide staff development opportunities. At UCCS, in the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, we are calling certain such events part of the SEED program, where the acronym stands for Shared Expertise, Enrichment and Development. The SEED designation will be used exclusively for times in which LAS staff are helping other LAS staff.

Spring 2010-2011 SEED Events:

Staff pot-luck lunches are scheduled every month. For the remainder of fall 2010, the lunches are scheduled for Thursday, November 18, and Thursday December 16, from noon to 1:00. Unless otherwise noted, the luncheons are held in the conference room on the second floor of Columbine Hall, room 2036. Bring your lunch, enough to share, and enjoy the conversations and, there is always a little surprise, too. It is intended that the pot-luck lunches continue through the spring of 2011, the third Thursday of each month.

Sheryl Botts, Jacqueline Hatfield and Sherry McDonnell, from the Dean's office, hold monthly staff training sessions on the third Thursday of each month from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in room Columbine 3022. Bring your concerns and helpful hints to share with others. Remember to put November 18, 2010, on your calendar for the next meeting. Check here for updates.
