Deborah D. Hood - Retired health care executive, consultant
While VP for the National Oncology Service Line of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), Ms. Hood led efforts to develop oncology processes and systems, new models of care, and comprehensive diagnostic and treatment programs. She has written two books, including a recently published one on. Her 35+ years of experience includes clinical laboratory administration, healthcare strategic planning, marketing and communications, cancer center operations and service line development. She recently took on a consulting project with Brown University Medical Center.
She is an 11-year LGL Leukemia survivor and a Phase II clinical research trial participant. She served on the Board and as Board Chair of the Colorado Cancer Research Program and was an award recipient.
Local board service includes Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Colorado Cancer Coalition. She presents for the Health Academy's Oncology and Chief Nursing Officer Forums.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and a MBA from UCCS.
