Gainful Employment Certificates


In 2011, the Department of Education issued new regulations pertaining to Gainful Employment programs. The regulations are posted to the Federal Register; the scope incorporates UCCS certificate programs. Gainful Employment Program Proposal Form

If you represent an academic department at UCCS and seek approval to offer a Title IV eligible certificate program (which we are now calling Gainful Employment programs), please submit the New Proposal Form to Amy Sutz, Financial Aid Compliance, and Robyn Marschke, Director of Institutional Research. The Financial Aid Office will ensure that new proposals are submitted to the U.S. Department of Education; Institutional Research will assist each department with data collections and facilitate communication among offices, including the Colorado Department of Higher Education. If and when the program is approved, we will meet with department liaisons to discuss annual disclosure and reporting requirements.
