Peer Institutions

Peer institutions are used for comparative data analyses. Approved by the UCCS administration, the President's Office, and the Board of Regents, the peer institutions are selected based on factors such as student population, city population, type of institution, and academic programs. The name of the institution is preceded by its basic Carnegie Classification (ML = Master's Large, DHR = Doctoral University with high research activity, and DMR = Doctoral University with moderate research activity). Level: 4-year or above
Control: Public
Basic: Master's Colleges & Universities: Larger Programs
Undergraduate Instructional Program:  Balanced arts & sciences/professions, some graduate coexistence
Graduate Instructional Program: Research Doctoral: STEM-dominant
Enrollment Profile: High undergraduate
Undergraduate Profile: Four-year, medium full-time, selective, higher transfer-in
Size and Setting: Four-year, medium, primarily nonresidential
