From the North: Take I-25 South to the Garden of the Gods Exit146. Turn left to go under I-25 and follow Garden of the Gods Road. Garden of the Gods turns into Austin Bluffs Parkway (at the Nevada Avenue intersection). Continue up the hill and you will see the university on your left. The first UCCS entrance with the roundabout (first stoplight) accesses the parking garage and Columbine Hall.

From the South: Take I-25 North to the Garden of the Gods Exit 146. Follow Garden of the Gods east. Garden of the Gods turns into Austin Bluffs Parkway (at the Nevada Avenue intersection). Continue up the hill and you will see the university on your left. The first UCCS entrance with the roundabout (first stoplight) accesses the parking garage and Columbine Hall.

From Academy Boulevard: Academy Boulevard intersects with Austin Bluffs Parkway about 1.5 miles east of the campus. When driving west on Austin Bluffs from Academy Boulevard, the campus will be on the right and the entrance that accesses the parking garage and Columbine Hall will be at the second stoplight.

Parking Directions

You will need a parking permit code to park on campus. Typically, we will send you a parking code and instructions in the mail before your visit. Please enter the parking code in the parking permit vending machine. You do not need to leave the receipt on your dash.

Visitor parking is available on the third floor of the parking garage. Handicapped spaces are available in the same place. If you are participating in testing on Saturday or Sunday you can park in any numbered space and proceed directly to the lab. If you are participating on a weekday you will need to follow these directions for "paying" for parking.

1. Enter the main entrance and proceed to the 3rd level of the garage.
2. Park your vehicle in a numbered space. Note the space number in which you parked.
3. Proceed to one of the three pay stations located on the 3rd level. There are two stations at the northwest corner and a station at the southeast corner.
4. At the pay station, enter the space number where you parked your vehicle. The machine will then ask for a coupon number.
5. Enter the 8-digit code provided to you by the researchers via email or phone.
6. When the machine accepts your code, a receipt will be printed that you should retain. You do not need to return to your vehicle and may instead proceed to the lab.

Walking Directions to the Lab

Once you have parked in the parking garage, please proceed to Columbine Hall (the building immediately to the west of the parking garage). There is a big metal sculpture in front of the building that you will walk past. As you approach the building, you are facing the main entrance.

Enter the building through the main entrance, and go down the hallway to your right. To find the elevator, go through the first doorway on your right. The elevator is next to the vending machine. Take the elevator to the 4th floor. When you come out, go down the hallway to your right. Go right at the first short hallway. The lab (Room 404) is at the very end. Knock loudly on this door and the tester will meet you. Please print a campus map to assist you.
