First Step Initial Steps:

If a candidate has not been identified, and the department wishes to advertise for the position, see Checklist - Classified Staff Temporary Hire (Jobs at CU). The individual hired may not work more than 9 months in a twelve month period. Temporary employees are at will, paid on an hourly basis, and do not have all of the rights and benefits provided to permanent employees except those mandated by law.

Leadership Team Approval - Permanent Positions only (Submitted by HR)

Second Step Exam Plan:

If this will not become a Permanent Position, and a qualified individual for the position has been identified, no examination is required. Third Step Recruitment:
