Honors, Fellowships, and Scholarships The department is committed to supporting student research and academic advancement. We recognize that each student might have a distinct set of financial challenges. We offer some departmental funds for student's demonstrating academic promise. Take the time to investigate all scholarship opportunities (departmental, university-wide, and/or national).
Opportunities The department offers numerous professional development opportunities for undergraduate students.
Foreign Language Study at UCCS and PPCC Knowledge of a foreign language is an invaluable skill for historical research depending on your region and field of study. For students who are interested in pursuing graduate work, knowledge of a foreign langauge is required of most programs. Consider studying a foreign language while at UCCS.
National Student Exchange The National Student Exchange (NSE) is a program for undergraduate exchange within the United States and Canada. Instead of crossing oceans, NSE students cross state, regional, provincial, and cultural borders. UCCS is a participating member of the program, which is coordinated through the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences. For more information, contact Assistant to the Dean, Margie Oldham at moldham@uccs.edu.
