
Mission Statement
The Department of History at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs is a community of scholars who seek to understand the past and strive to introduce students to the process of historical thinking. The department continues to provide a vital element to the university's academic offerings through a commitment to giving our students the fundamentals of a strong liberal arts education. At the undergraduate and graduate levels our program offers a broad education in many fields of historical inquiry that prepare our graduates as engaged, knowledgeable, and contributing members of society.
