Southwestern Historical Association (SWHA), Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS), and Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association (PAMLA)
Each year Dr. Brian Duvick sponsors UCCS graduate and undergraduate students to attend and present their work at the Southwestern Historical Association (SWHA) Annual Meeting, the Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS), and the Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association (PAMLA). The SWHA deals with a wide range of historical periods and regions. CAMWS and PAMLA emphasize language studies on a variety of historical and cultural topics. Students also have the opportunity to present either their SWHA paper or original work at the Annual Heller Center History Conference. In the fall semester, interested students are requested to turn in an abstract submission to Dr. Duvick or a faculty mentor. The abstracts are reviewed, critiqued, and returned to students to revise before a final submission deadline.
For further information on roughdraft abstract submissions and conference dates, please contact Dr. Brian Duvick at firstname.lastname@example.org.
