Connecting From Off Campus
The IT Help Desk recommends you use the VPN Automatic Install tool for setting up the VPN.
2. Click on Set up a new connection or network.
3. Double-click on Connect to a workplace.
4. If you see this screen, just make sure No, create a new connection is selected, and click Next.
5. Double-click on Use my Internet connection (VPN).
6. Type voyager.uccs.edu in the Internet address field and UCCS Resources VPN (Voyager) in the Destination name field. Check the box that says Don't connect now; just set it up so I can connect later, then click Next.
7. You don't need to enter your credentials nows, so just click the Createbutton.
8. After a few seconds, you should see this window. Click Close.
9. Go back to the Network icon and right-click on the VPN you just created. Then click on Properties.
10. Go to the Networking tab and click on Internet Protocol Version 4 to highlight it. Then click the Propertiesbutton.
11. Click on the Advancedbutton.
12. Click to remove the checkmark in the box titled Use default gateway on remote network.
13. Click on the DNS tab. Type uccs.edu in the DNS suffix box, and click to add checkmarks to both boxes below. Click the OK button on the 3 different boxes until you're back at the Connect to a networkscreen.
14. In the Network Access menu, select the UCCS Resources VPN (Voyager), click the Connectbutton.
15. After a few moments, you should see a screen that asks for your credentials. Type your IT username and password in their respective boxes. For the box labeled Domain, type UFP and click the Connectbutton.
16. To access the IT accounts, click on the Start icon in the lower right corner of your desktop. In the search bar, type \\excelsior.uccs.edu for student accounts or \\enterprise.uccs.edu for staff/faculty accounts, and press Enter.

17. When you're finished, click on the Network icon, high-light the VPN, and click the Disconnectbutton.
Resources VPN for Windows 7
SUMMARY: This document will walk you through the necessary steps to set up the UCCS Resources VPN (Voyager) connection in Windows 7. The Resources VPN (Voyager) connection is used to access the UCCS Servers (i.e. Excelsior, Enterprise, Columbia, etc.) as well as other additional resources.
NOTE: This VPN does NOT allow the user to access the periodical and journal databases on the UCCS Library website. You must use the Library VPN (Transporter) for that purpose.
1. Click on the Network icon in the lower right corner of your desktop and select Open Network and Sharing Center.
2. Click on Set up a new connection or network.
