How long will it take me to complete my graduate degree?
Answer: Most graduate students complete their degree in 2 to 3 years. Students have up to 6 years to complete their graduate degree. The amount of time it takes to complete the degree depends on the student. The number of courses you take per semester, the decision to complete a thesis, and any extended absences from the university all contribute to the length of time it takes to complete a degree. If you have a specific timeline during which you would like to complete your degree, make sure to discuss that with a program advisor on a regular basis to discuss class availability and map out a degree plan.

How many classes will I take each semester?
Answer: For financial aid purposes, graduate students are considered full-time if they are enrolled in at least 5 credit hours. However, many students may only be considered part-time if they enroll in just one class (3 credits) per semester. The number of classes taken by the student will be up to the student themselves. Many students decide on their course load while factoring in their work and family responsibilities, course availability, and financial aid. If you have questions about how many credits to take or your class schedule, please contact your program advisor.
