Fast-Track Admission for Current and Former UCCS Students


The Fast-Track Admission Process is designed to offer a more efficient admission process to former undergraduate students that have graduated from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs no more than four years prior to the time of application to a graduate program. To learn more about Fast-Track admission, please contact your program of interest. Fast-Track admission is not offered by all programs. Please note: Possible prerequisite coursework may be required for some graduate programs.

Application Materials and Downloadable Forms

Applicants are encouraged to use the online application to expedite the processing of their application.

 

To apply to the Graduate School at UCCS, please review and print/download the items below. All application materials are to be sent directly to the department in which you wish to study (see below for address).

International students should contact the program of interest directly to learn about program and application requirements. International students may wish to contact the Office of International Student Services for application assistance.The forms contained in the table below are for applicants who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States.

Graduate School Application, Parts I and II

You may either print and submit Parts I and II of the Graduate School Application or complete them online by clicking here.

Please note that if you submit Parts I and II online, other required items listed below must be mailed to your program of interest.

 Note: In regard to Part II, some programs have additional requirements beyond those listed in Part II above. Please contact the program directly to determine whether of not this applies to you.

In-State Tuition Classification Form

If you have been previously classified as an out-of-state student within the last three years, you should also complete a Petition for In-State Tuition Classification. This form can be obtained by calling (719) 255-3361.

Note: Parental financial information may be needed to complete this form.

Letters of Recommendation

The applicant completes the top portion of this form before giving to recommender. The completed letter(s) should be mailed by the recommenders themselves.

Note: Different programs have different requirements for the number of letters that should be included in an application.

Official Transcripts

Two sets of official transcripts from each college or university previously attended. Transcripts should be included from all past coursework regardless if a degree was received from that particular college or university.

Entrance Exams

Some graduate programs require entrance exams such as the GRE, GMAT or MAT for admission. The school code for the GRE for UCCS is 4874. Please contact your graduate program for department codes if an entrance exam was required.

Application and Notification Timeline
The department must receive all application materials on or before the application deadline. Recommendation letters and transcripts from previous institutions usually take several weeks to arrive. Some programs allow students to enroll in courses prior to formal application into their graduate program. Please check with the program of interest to determine if this option is available.
  
Once you have applied, the decision and subsequent notification will be dependent on the particular program as well as the completion of all application materials. If you have questions about the status of your application, please contact the program department that you applied to or email gradinfo@uccs.edu if you have questions.
