ART&WINE is GOCA program that elegantly pairs wine with art, with talks on both. Its no secret that wine and art have a rich history together, so it seems only natural to develop a curriculum around the relationship.
BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS | August 15, 2012
Guests were guided through 4 wines by Darby Gould with Cru Vin Dogs Wine Group, learning about this fantastic vintner and the world of wine in the process. GOCA's curator Daisy McConnell lead a tour of the brand spanking new BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS exhibit - with special guest appearances by artists Taylor Stamp and Aaron Graves. Frank Frey (from Nosh and the Blue Star) returned to guide us through his pairings with the WAYS OF KNOWING exhibit. Artist Laleh Mehran gave a talk about her process in creating "Entropic Order", the interactive black sand installation in the downtown gallery.
