H20: Water, Culture & Politics

Using the immersive and massive “Rain Machine” installation by artist Eric Tillinghast as a springboard, H20: Water, Culture & Politics will bring academic, entrepreneurial, and regional community voices to UCCS for this interdisciplinary series.  Inspired by this experiential visual art display, the community will be engaged across diverse subjects and invited to visualize how water ultimately connects and affects us all.  
The exhibit and lecture series are part of a state-wide celebration of water: Colorado Water 2012 (learn more at www.water2012.org). Water has always been of critical importance to our region—GOCA will invite exploration, education, and discovery all through the lens of contemporary art.
