Mark Wong: 1,000 Platters Project
part of Ceramica: Contemporary Clay exhibit opening February 8, 2013
Mark Wong's conceptual 1,000 Crane Platters Project highlights the artists penchant for dimensional and output challenges with clay. A twist on the artist's own cultural tradition of folding and dispersing 1,000 origami cranes, the 1,000 Crane Platters Project will disperse instead 1,000 hand-thrown unique clay platters into the community. The resulting installation will see 1,000 platters covering the walls, ceiling and floor of the space. At the close of the exhibit, the 1,000 ceramic platters will be dispersed to collectors all over the world. Be a part of this - order yours today!
